CookUnity is the first ever chef-to-consumer platform. Connecting a diverse group of talented chefs with busy food lovers, we’re elevating the at-home dining experience. On a quest to unlock the world’s best food creators and bring their meals to the masses, CookUnity is home to more than 35 of NYC and LA’s most talented chefs. Through a weekly subscription, consumers can select from a robust and ever-changing menu of handcrafted meals that cater to a wide variety of palates and dietary preferences. 

Delivering more than 3.5M meals per year and growing 5x YoY, CookUnity is also helping Chefs double their income and build their own teams under their personal brands. 

Believing that healthy food fuels stronger communities, CookUnity contributes to an ongoing partnership and donation with the Food Bank For New York City, the city’s major hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty across all five boroughs. 

A growing startup with kitchens in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, CookUnity reaches subscribers throughout the country, with ambitious expansion planned for 2021. 

What we're looking for 

We are looking for a data-driven SEM Lead to help accelerate CookUnity's search marketing strategy and support our aggressive growth goals. Someone who is excited by data, passionate about finding new audiences, devoted to execution, and motivated to grow and improve. 

The Role 

This role will report to the Head of Performance Marketing and will be responsible to support new product launches, test new Google products, and bring new concepts to life. 

You will join a team that is both rigorous and experimental, focused on data-driven marketing while also taking big bets on exciting opportunities, and we are excited by team members who can deliver on both in a fast-paced environment. 

You will partner closely with Product, Growth and Design to pressure test and evolve our ads and landing pages over time. 

This is a full-time hire. 

Responsibilities

  • Build, scale and optimize paid search channels including Google AdWords, Bing, YouTube, and others 
  • Work cross-functionally to create and manage search campaigns to meet business goals and objectives 
  • Perform keyword research; create, execute, monitor, and optimize campaigns
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc channel performance reports, including weekly reporting to leadership 
  • Continuously learn and stay on top of trends and best practices. Be proactive in discussing and implementing new strategies and tactics 
  • Advocate for a seamless user experience for customers who are finding us through search 
  • Analyze search performance, and user behavior, to derive marketing decisions and make recommendations to improve performance 

Qualifications 

  • 3/4+ years of experience in SEM at an agency or startup. 
  • An analytical and results-oriented mindset person who understands the importance of striking the balance between efficiency and scale. 
  • A strong understanding of marketing channels along with their relevant KPIs such as CTR, CVR, CAC, LTV, and retention). 
  • Strong experience with SEO research tools and analytics platforms (Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs and others). 
  • Experience in working with Excel, and SQL is a plus. 
  • Advanced experience with keyword research and writing compelling, keyword-rich title tags, meta descriptions and other copy. within brand guidelines and in collaboration with multiple teams for input on high visibility pages. 
  • Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member.
